Hien Fox is a fledgling speculative fiction writer, cat lady, and hot pot enthusiast based on the east coast of the US. She only started her semi-serious writing endeavors in late 2020 and aims to explore Vietnamese folklore, tradition, and magic in her work.
Fudoki Magazine posted my flash-fiction piece, "The Nineteenth Smile", on April 26th. It features the twelve bà mụ, or 'Twelve Midwives' from Vietnamese folklore.
Insignia Stories' Mythical Creatures of Asia (Insignia Drabbles Vol.3) anthology is published this month, featuring three of my drabbles on Vietnamese creatures.
One of these drabbles, "A Sailor's Fear", is featured as part of Insignia Stories' Women in Horror Month
